- Consignment Possibilities -
At Generations Antiques and More, we have a bunch of our locals that come into the shop that ask us if we buy antiques. We will typically purchase an antique based on quality, condition, quantity and market demand for the item. There are many items that we pass up based on low demand, poor condition or just the lack of the "meeting of the minds".
Once in a while, we run across items that in our typical business plan, as we just described, does not work for! Those items might just be a good candidate for one of our Select Consignment Tags.

What items are considered
|
The owners of Generations Antiques will determine if an item is suitable for consignment in the shop. Typically, this item will be one that has at least a moderate market demand and has a high value compared to other similarly comparable items. Typically the item must be in mint condition, unless it is one of those old rusty rustic pieces that gets added value by the more rust it has!

How is the price determined and how long is the item at Generations? |
The owners of Generations Antiques will determine the price of your item as determined via the local market. Items consigned are for a term of 60 days.
|
Does my antique get discounted
|
Yes, all items are discounted by 30% on the 45th day at the shop. Remember, Generations Antiques goal is to sell your item - not store it for 60 days and give it back to you. We will initially price it to sell within the first 44 days, if it does not sell, then it will be discounted for the remaining 16 days in order to get it sold.

When can I do a consignment and who with?
