Our store has an area that we can rent to 12 vendors spaces that typically measure 5' x 4' and a few that are 7' x 4'. We charge a nominal monthly rental fee which includes everything (no extra utility charges, no advertising charges, etc). We also have the ability to rent out shelf space and a small secured area in a locked jewelry case. We are located on a state route (St. Rt. 3, Ridge Road) and have a huge amount of local and traveling thru traffic. Our stop light, straight in front of the store, changes very frequently, so a lot of people see us! Over 60 parking spaces too!
Keys to a successful vendor: Sell items that are general antiques which will appeal to most shoppers rather then taste specific items. Price your item at market or just below. Make sure your items are clean, but if cleaning means that it could alter the item, leave it as is. Fill your booth area up, and don't leave too many open areas. Decorate your booth, make it themed, add lighting, stage it, etc. If you are a collector, you might not be successful, as current prices are typically lower than what you are willing to sell items at!
